Versioned numbers and stable strings the rest of the engine surface refers to. SCHEMA_VERSION versions the on-disk document; RESPONSE_ENVELOPE_VERSION versions the JsonEnvelope wrapper; CLOSE_NOTE_TEXT is the exact text of the system note appended when a verb closes an item.
